Scott McCloud Explains Google Chrome

Google showed some marketing savvy by hiring Scott McCloud to illustrate in comic form the inner workings of their new browser, Chrome.

McCloud is the author of several comic books, including Understanding Comics, a widely praised, 215-page comic book about comics. He excels at making complex subjects accessible to the average reader.

After reading Scott’s clear and attractive webcomic detailing the technology behind Google Chrome, I was sold on the browser.

Chrome has a ways to go to catch up to Firefox 3, particularly in the area of extensions, but it looks promising.  And if it’s built with the same type of clear thinking as Scott McCloud’s visual explanation of it (and I have no reason to suspect that it’s not), Chrome will become the browser of choice for many. And quickly.
